New Year, Same Me

It's a new year, and I believe it's going to be a great one! I believe it's going to be a great one, not because I am going to make all kinds of dramatic changes, but instead, because I am going to keep being exactly who I am! Ambitious, creative, and determined.

The past couple of weeks have been great. I auditioned for America's Got Talent, and out of the thousands of people who auditioned that day, I was one of the lucky ones who got a second audition. I have no idea what that means, or what might happen, but I am very proud of myself for doing my best. I am supposed to hear from them in the middle of January, which is NEXT WEEK! I hope for good news, but if not, it's okay, and I'll keep grinding.

It took me about three years to write a book, and it's FINALLY finished, and on sale! I am SO PROUD! In the end, I made the decision to self publish, and I feel confident about that choice. Friends and family have been buying copies. Now my focus needs to shift to marketing and pitching my book to book stores, in hopes that they will agree to sell my book.

I swear to God I edited my book 7,000 times. I had several other people edit it too. I was 1000% confident when I published it through Amazon. But then tonight I read a couple chapters and found two errors. SO FRUSTRATING! I'm going to spend the next couple of days going through my book AGAIN, and correct any other errors I find. I'm expecting my author's copy to arrive in the mail later today. Once I have it, I am going to approach my first couple of book stores. I'm going to start out with small book stores and see what they say.

I'm currently in the NYC area, and plan on being here until approximately January 18th. One of my goals is to approach Strand, the famous book store in Union Square. I'm extremely nervous, but getting my book in there would be a dream-come-true. Doing an author reading and signing would also be a dream-come-true.

My other goals for this trip include doing a photo shoot, making comedy skits, creating an audio version of my book (then figuring out how to sell it on audio book apps), filming the first part of a short film I want to make, headlining a show on Long Island, working at my favorite NY strip club, and doing as many open mics as possible.

I hope, for the readers of my blog, this year is extremely productive and brings you tremendous peace, prosperity, and joy.

A Quick Update

I hope that very soon I will have more time to write. I've never been busier than I am right now. I am about to finish my undergraduate degree. Simultaneously I am studying for the LSAT and trying to
